In the framework of it's foreign activities, Nijkamp concluded an agreement with the "Uralsky Dom", a company, that processes wood, harvested in the region, to products for construction of houses and other elements for building. Uralsky Dom is facing high costs of energy in its production process and seeks to install modern, energy efficient technologies.
"The project will reduce the energy consumption of our partner" says Jilles Nijoer, CEO of Nijkamp. "This project is one many of the many that hope to realize in the coming years", he states. "Together with the engineer's team from BGP we expect to realize this project during 2012".
The project will be a demonstration of new technology for the re-use of waste wood in the wood processing industry of Russia and has become possible through financial support from the Netherlands Government (EVD/Agency-NL).
